"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened."
    --
Anatole France

Jakey we will all miss your sweet ways and enduring soul!

"Romeo" Goldman (1999-2006)

Romeo, a Bernese Mountain Dog, was Dr. Goldman's constant companion and trusted friend. He worked at Millhopper Veterinary Medical Center as an Ambassador of Good Will for many years. He will be missed by all.

"The world of the living is a lesser place without him. Romeo was my constant, loving companion, hug-a-bear and shadow. He went to work at my animal hospital every day and was an ambassador of good will, loved by many and friend to all. His burly bark was like a welcoming clarion to show his excitement at seeing you again. His 'smile' was always there to share his happiness with each and all. Romeo, you are SO dearly missed, my friend, though I'm happy that you are pain-free and healthy again, as you so truly deserve. See you soon, my friend, and we'll go for a nice, long ride together over the Rainbow Bridge." -- Dr. Goldman

Coco

Coco was with MVMC since April 2003. She lived in our treatment area and spent her nights in the cat ward, keeping all the kitties company. She will be missed by all.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.  There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together.  There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.  The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.  The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers.  Suddenly, he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.  You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.  The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together.....
